Education
Ph.D.
Hassan Errami received in December 2013 his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in mathematics with a grade of „very good“ from the University of Kassel (Germany), while working as a research assistant at the Institute of mathematics in Kassel from 2012 to the end of 2013.
In his dissertation, Mr. Errami focused in particular on the practical application and efficient realization of new algorithms in the border area between mathematics, computer science and applied sciences. The realization of a coherent software platform, in which a large number of very different methods and individual results from very different scientific fields are integrated, represents a remarkable achievement, with which a breakthrough for the automatic symbolic analysis of relevant bio-chemical models was achieved. This was only possible by successfully dealing with a large number of mathematical methods from such different areas as dynamic systems, real algebra, convex algebra, but also logic and optimization.
M.Sc.
In Early 2008 Hassan Errami received his Master’s in computer science from the University of Bonn (Germany), where he studied computer science and economics.
His master’s thesis dealt with the development of an ontology-based middleware for structuring and interpreting context information. As part of his master’s thesis, he also developed an adaptive localization system (indoor and outdoor) that uses the developed middleware and sensors such as WLAN, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Employment
After graduating in early 2008, Mr. Hassan Errami worked as a software developer until 2010.
As part of a joint research project „Bifurcations and Singularities of Algebraic Differential Equations (BISADE)“ involving the University of Bonn and the University of Kassel and funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), he worked as a research assistant from 2010 to the beginning of 2012 at the Institute for Computer Science in Bonn and from the beginning of 2012 to the end of 2013 at the institute for mathematics in Kassel.
After completing his doctorate, he spent two years as a postdoctoral scientist at the Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (b-it) and institute for computer Science in Bonn.
Since 2016 he has been a senior researcher and lecturer (Akademischer Rat) in the Multimedia, Simulation, and Virtual Reality working group at the institute of computer science in Bonn.
Research
Hassan Errami has many years of experience in interdisciplinary research. In particular, he is familiar with motion analysis, physics-based animation, software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision symbolic methods, computer algebra, dynamic systems, and biochemical network analysis. Over the years, he has collaborated on interdisciplinary projects with research groups and renowned researchers from Germany and abroad. He has i.e. a close and long cooperation with Dr. Dima Grigoriev in tropical geometry, Dr. Markus Eiswirth in chemistry, Dr. Andreas Weber in Computer Animation and physics-based modeling, and Dr. Thomas Sturm in arithmetic reasoning. Teaching/Supervising
During his employment at the University of Bonn, Mr. Errami supervised various courses and theses as a lecturer, including lectures, internships, and seminars. You can find here a list of the Bachelor’s and Master’s courses with content.
Diwan Award
Hassan Errami was nominated for the DIWAN Prize organized 2017 by the German-Moroccan Competence Network in Germany (DMK) and the Moroccan Embassy in Germany and was awarded the best german-moroccan competence in the field of IT and engineering
The aim of the Diwan Awards is to recognize the professional achievements of people from the German-Moroccan community and in this way give the younger generation role models. The award winners become role models for the younger generation.
With the Diwan Awards, the organizers would also like to honor those people who, when they arrived in Germany, hoped for a better life for their children and who work tirelessly to achieve this.
